Guru Fateh!

1. Vaisakhi on Thursday 14-April: All-day celebrations will be held at SSNJ starting with Asa-di-Vaar at 5am.
2. Amrit Sanchar is planned near Vaisakhi (April): please contact a BOD member for Amrit Sanchar.
3. Sikh Day Parade is confirmed for 30-April. Details to bus schedule to be distributed in early-April.
4. March of Dimes is planned for 1-May at Rutgers in New Brunswick. Please contact Bhupinder Singh or Shalu (Kanwaljit) Kaur for details.
5. Keertan and Tabla classes - last call for aspirant students to sign up (all ages – children and adults). The schedule and plans will be finalized soon and shared.
6. Hemkunt Speech Symposium – forms are available in gurudwara’s front lobby; registration fee is $25 per child; please contact Mrs. Manmeet Sachar for specific details.

HOLA MAHALLA 2011:This Samagam is in celebration of Hola Mahalla. During this spring, on March 19th, Lawrenceville Gurdwara Sahib will be hosting Gatka followed by a Gurmat Sanget Raag Darbar, where all compositions by Raagi Jathas will be performed in purely Nirdharit Raag for the entire evening. This is a DO NOT MISS for Raag and Gurmat Sangeet lovers in North America. Aey Deedar Baksho Jee!!

Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh!!

The Sikh Sabha of New Jersey will be celebrating Guru Gobind Singh Jee’s Prakash Utsav on Wednesday, January 5th with a special keertan diwan and Akhand Path.   The program will begin at 7 pm with Rehras Sahib followed by Keertan from Bhai Prakash Singh Jee and Jatha from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Akhand Path Schedule:

• Arambh:  Friday – January 7th at 4 a.m.
• Samapti:  Sunday – January 9th early to mid morning.

* 7:30pm – 8:00pm    Aarti (Bhai Prakash Singh and Jatha)
* 8:00pm – 9:30pm  Sangat Kirtan slot
* 9:30pm – 10:30pm  Kirtan by Bhai Pal Singh  and Jatha
* 10:30pm – 12:00am Kirtan by Bhai Prakash Singh and Jatha and Smapti

For Sangat Kirtan, anyone who wishes to participate, please sign-up your name.  Signup sheet can be located behind treasurer desk at the Gurudwara Sahib or by emailing SikhSabhaBOD@yahoogroups.com
