Tonight will be the first session of our Sikh Sabha Gatka Training.  Forms can be found in the sidebar under “2010 Sikh Sabha Forms” and details are listed below:

What: SSNJ Gatka Training
When: Thursday Nights - 6 pm to 8 pm Starting June 17th.
Where: Sikh Sabha of New Jersey Side Parking Lot
Fees: $20 for 4 week sessions, or $10 per session attended

Notes: Fresh fruit and water will be provided to all participants.  Please be sure to wear appropriate sneakers and attire for exercise.  All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Males and females of all age groups and experience levels are encouraged to attend. Attendees will not be allowed to participant if forms are not completely filled and signed by parent or legal guardian. Please call in case of inclement weather.

**TRI-STATE VAISAKHI KIRTAN DARBAR**

Let’s thank Guru Sahib for this gracious blessings by attending/ participating in the Tri-State Vaisakhi Kirtan Darbar with the sangat from all over the US.

On the auspicious occasion of anniversary of creation of Khalsa, and to thank Guru Saab for his gracious blessings, you along with your family and friends are invited to Lawrenceville Gurudwara Sahib, NJ for Vaisakhi Kirtan.

**SIKH SABHA YOUTH JAPJI SAHIB RECITATION COMPETITION**

Learn, Recite & Win Awards

Japji Sahib is the gist of SGGS and Sikhi. Every Sikh is expected to recite it every day as part of the Nitnem. Golden opportunity for our youth to learn it. Awards for all participants and prizes for those who do the best.

Date of Competition – Saturday April 17^th

^{Time  - 10.30 to 2.30 PM}

Group Level Requirements

(Note- Age as of December 31^st, 2009)

Group I - Under 6 (5 Pauris)

Group II - 7-11 (20 Pauris)

Group III - 12- 17 (Complete Japji Sahib)

Note - You don’t have to know the minimum requirment to participate.  Focus is to get kids started and encouraged (yes everyone will get an award!).

For competition focus will be on correct recitation from memory, pauses and diction.

HOLA MAHALLA 2010:This Samagam is in celebration of Hola Mahalla. During this spring, on March 20th, Lawrenceville Gurdwara Sahib will be hosting Gatka followed by a Gurmat Sanget Raag Darbar, where all compositions by Raagi Jathas will be performed in purely Nirdharit Raag for the entire evening. This is a DO NOT MISS for Raag and Gurmat Sangeet lovers in North America. Aey Deedar Baksho Jee!!
