**TRI-STATE VAISAKHI KIRTAN DARBAR**

Let’s thank Guru Sahib for this gracious blessings by attending/ participating in the Tri-State Vaisakhi Kirtan Darbar with the sangat from all over the US.

On the auspicious occasion of anniversary of creation of Khalsa, and to thank Guru Saab for his gracious blessings, you along with your family and friends are invited to Lawrenceville Gurudwara Sahib, NJ for Vaisakhi Kirtan.

Sikh Sabha of New Jersey 2010 Vaisakhi Celebrations – Wednesday April 14th 2010!!!!

Asa Di Vaar – 5 A.M. to 7 A.M.
Sangat Keertan 8 30 A.M. to 3 P.M.
Rehras Sahib – 7 P.M.
Evening Diwan with Bhai Parkash Singh Jee and Jatha – 7:30 P.M.
Samapti 9 P.M.
Guru-Ka-Langar will be ongoing throughout the program

**SIKH SABHA YOUTH JAPJI SAHIB RECITATION COMPETITION**

Learn, Recite & Win Awards

Japji Sahib is the gist of SGGS and Sikhi. Every Sikh is expected to recite it every day as part of the Nitnem. Golden opportunity for our youth to learn it. Awards for all participants and prizes for those who do the best.

Date of Competition – Saturday April 17^th

^{Time  – 10.30 to 2.30 PM}

Group Level Requirements

(Note- Age as of December 31^st, 2009)

Group I - Under 6 (5 Pauris)

Group II - 7-11 (20 Pauris)

Group III - 12- 17 (Complete Japji Sahib)

Note – You don’t have to know the minimum requirment to participate.  Focus is to get kids started and encouraged (yes everyone will get an award!).

For competition focus will be on correct recitation from memory, pauses and diction.
