Khalsa School

The Sikh Sabha Khalsa School was established to impart education in Punjabi to the children so that they can learn to read, write and speak Punjabi written in Gurmukhi script correctly with the proper pronunciation. The school offers classes in Punjabi Language, Sikh Studies, Kirtan, and Gurbani. These classes are offered on Sunday mornings. The school year consists of two semesters: first semester from September to January and second semester is from February to June .

The SSNJ Khalsa School follows the Sojhi Curriculum developed by the Sikh Research Institute. The Sojhi curriculum combines Virsa (Sikh Heritage) and Boli (Language Arts) lessons with teaching techniques that are innovative and hands on. Gurudwara Sahib have a group of dedicated teachers which are trained in Sojhi teaching techniques.

The Gurudwara also holds camps during the year which teaches students about Sikhism, Sikh prayers, turban tying, Gurudwara etiquette, participation in Langar (community meal) sewa etc.

Such a man, in whose heart shines the full Divinely Radiant Light is a True a pure Khalsa
He the Khalsa meditates on the Ever-radiant Ligh, day and night, and reject all else but the one Lord from the mind
He decorates himself with perfect love and faith, and believed not in fasts, tombs, crematoriums and hermit cells, even by mistake.
He knows none except the one Lord in the performance of acts of pilgrimmage, charities, compassion, austerities and self-control.
